Sahar Alizadeh (b. 1995, Tehran) is a New York-based artist whose practice centers on the shadow as both subject and metaphor — a flat, monochromatic echo of a three-dimensional world. Studied in Interior Architecture in Tehran, she works across drawing and painting, building a visual language that moves between figuration and abstraction, between the seen and the withheld. Her recurring figures exist in a space where object and shadow exchange places, unsettling the viewer's grip on perception and reality. Her work has been exhibited internationally across Iran, South Korea, the UAE, the United States, Italy, and the United Kingdom. She was selected for the 5th London Art Biennale (2021), recognized by the London International Creative Competition (LICC), and has shown at the Bronx River Art Center, New York, and the 14C Project, New Jersey. Her work is included in the CICA Museum collection in South Korea and has been featured in Juliet Art Magazine and New Visionary Magazine.
